Eve Chalom is a professional figure skater, coach, and dance/movement therapist.  She competed at the World Championships in Ice Dancing in 1997 and 1999.  She then received bachelor degrees from the University of Michigan in English and Philosophy.  Eve spent ten years in New York City performing in both modern dance and ice skating, most notably with the Ice Theatre of New York, which whom she still occasionally performs.  She received a master’s degree from Pratt Institute in Dance/Movement therapy.  She has done all this while being hard of hearing as a result of a childhood car crash.  She currently makes her home in Chicago, where she teaches, performs and choreographs for the Ice Semble artistic skating company, and writes articles discussing her work integrating dance movement therapy with figure skating.
